Gregory S. Costabile is an attorney and mediator. His office is conveniently located in Cleveland to meet the needs of his clients in Cuyahoga, Medina, Lake, Summit, Portage, Geauga, Lorain, and adjacent counties. Mr. Costabile has a diverse practice with an emphasis in family relations law issues, including but not limited to, divorce, dissolution, child custody, visitation and support, business valuation, retirement and other complex financial accounts, pre-marital agreements, spousal support, real estate issues, tax issues, equitable allocation of assets and debts, and issues involving children born out of wedlock. Mr. Costabile has experience and success in litigating complex trials and prevailing in the appellate courts of the various local counties to preserve the rights of his clients. Mr. Costabile’s practice as a Certified Mediator and his training in the art of Collaborative Law provides him the additional insight to explore alternative methods to assist his clients to resolve conflicts in an effective and cost efficient manner.
Mr. Costabile is an Ohio State Bar Association Board Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law. Out of Ohio’s nearly 45,000 attorneys, only approximately 100 are board certified specialists and only approximately 25 in Northeast Ohio. He is also a member in good standing with the American, Ohio, and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, as well as, the Ohio Legislative Drafting Committee and Ohio Legislative Review Committee. Mr. Costabile believes in the importance in giving back to one’s community and has served as a Councilman, Council President, and Mayor/Safety Director for the City of Mayfield Heights. From 2000-2003, he hosted a legal forum weekly radio program in Cleveland, discussing family law issues, and has previously served as a Political Analyst for WEWS Channel 5 News in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Costabile graduated, cum laude, from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his Juris Doctorate law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He was named the Most Influential Person in Mayfield Heights by Sun Newspapers in 2006 and 2008, was inducted into the Mayfield High School Hall of Fame in 2008, is a 2011 graduate of the prestigious Leadership Cleveland, and has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer by Law & Politics in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
